Procedure of Cleaning

It is commonly used in orthopedic surgeries including invasive and knee procedures to retract soft tissues and expose bony fragments.

This specific hohmann retractor has a 15mm tip size, an overall length of 4¾", is made from German Surgical Stainless Steel, and is classified as Premium OR grade. It is reusable.

The finger ring provides ease in handling and allows for a flat profile, keeping the instrument lying flat against the body to maintain clear access to the surgical site.

The blade widens into a leaf-shaped tip, allowing for an even distribution of pressure over a greater surface area, which helps protect body tissue while still keeping clear access to the site of surgery.

After washing and cleaning blood and residual tissue, the instrument should be placed in an autoclave or ultrasonic sterilizing machine. After sterilization, it should be stored in a surgical container or kit separately.
